Hawaiian Koa Tree

The Hawaiian Koa tree is one of the most beautiful woods used for making ukuleles and other instruments. I love live trees, yet also use wood to build instruments. I try to only use what is needed and plant a tree along the way. I hope you all will do the same.

Welcome
Picture

This is a ukulele I built from a kit. It is solid mahogany back and sides with a solid cedar top.

This site is about the history of the Ukulele. I have created a photo library of some vintage ukes as well as some good quality ukes that are a little newer and collectables. You can also view a slide show of some of my favorite ukes that I own.
Thanks for stopping by and keep on playing!
